You'll need an empty tissue box, wrapping paper, construction paper hearts, glue and tape. Use wrapping paper to cover the box on the bottom, sides and most of the top. Cover the remaining portion of the top with the hearts, leaving the hole open.
You can also use plain paper to cover your box, and use markers, stickers, confetti, pictures and construction paper shapes to decorate!

This is a great recipe for little "cupids" to help with! Kids will have fun signing cookies for their Valentines- fingerprint style!
You'll need a roll of refrigerated sugar cookie dough, an egg yolk, red food coloring and decorations.Place the cookie dough in the freezer for 30 minutes. Beat the egg yolk in a small bowl and add 10 drops of red food coloring.
Cut the chilled dough into ¼ inch slices. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Dip thumb or index finger in egg mixture to generously coat with color. Press finger onto each slice of dough at an angle twice to make a heart shape. Sprinkle with red sugar, or other decorations.

Pop-Up Hearts Cards
Special homemade valentines for special folks! You'll need: 8 ½" by 11" piece of construction paper for the card, 8 ½" by 5 ½" piece of construction paper for the pop-up hearts, scissors, glue, and markers.
Fan-fold the smaller paper five times, and cut a half heart with both sides of the fold connected so that you end up with a chain of hearts. Now fold the larger piece of paper in half, to make the card. Use the markers to decorate the outside. Glue the outside hearts to the inside of the card. Let the glue dry before closing the card! After the glue has dried, you can write a message to your Valentine inside the card!
Funfetti Pretzel Hearts
Vanilla frosting and candy coating change heart-shaped pretzel twists into sweet treats you can make in a heartbeat! You'll need vanilla-flavored candy coating, a can of vanilla frosting, and some miniature twist pretzels.
Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper. Place about 4 ounces of candy coating into a microwave safe bowl, and microwave for 1 to 2 minutes, until melted. Stir until smooth.
Add about 10 pretzels and mix gently until pretzels are well coated. If your mixture is too thick, you can microwave for a few more seconds.
With a fork, remove each pretzel from the coating mixture and place on the waxed paper-lined cookie sheet. Immediately decorate with sprinkles or jimmies. Repeat with remaining pretzels. Let stand about 30 minutes, until coating is completely set. Enjoy!
Cut out the center of a paper plate. Use a cookie cutter to trace heart shapes onto wrapping paper or wallpaper, and cut out. You can also cut out heart shapes from red, pink and white construction paper. Glue the hearts to the paper plate with rubber cement, or a glue stick. You can also add glitter, confetti, or ribbon.

Valentines Day Jewelry
Make some fun Valentines Day jewelry to wear yourself or give as a gift! You'll need some red and white plastic drinking straws, some red and pink construction paper, and some yarn or string.
Cut some small heart shapes out of the construction paper, and use a hole punch to make a hole in the center of each one. Now, cut the drinking straws into ½ inch pieces. Tie a piece of the snipped straw onto the end of the yarn to keep the necklace pieces from falling off.
Alternate threading the straw pieces and the heart shapes onto the yarn, until it is filled. Tie the ends of the necklace together. You can make a bracelet the same way!
Creeping Cracker Caterpillars
These make a great, fun snack for Valentines Day! For extra fun, arrange caterpillars on crushed chocolate cookie wafer "dirt" and tinted green coconut "grass."
You'll need a box of Ritz miniature peanut butter filled cracker sandwiches, some peanut butter, and candies and icing for decoration. Spread peanut butter on one side of each of 6 cracker sandwiches. Then press the crackers together, offsetting them slightly, to form an "S" shaped caterpillar. Arrange your caterpillars on the plate.
Now, you can decorate! On each caterpillar, attach 2 chocolate chips with a small amount of peanut butter on one end for eyes. Place 2 pieces of licorice between the first 2 crackers for antennae. Use miniature M & Ms for legs, and finally, decorate the face with decorating gel!
Make some adorable love bugs to decorate your refrigerator, or give as a gift! You'll need some red and pink felt, a wooden craft stick, a magnetic strip and a pipe cleaner.
Cut out two 2" hearts from the red felt, and one 1" heart from the pink felt. Use a black marker or t-shirt paints to make a friendly face on the small heart.
Decorate the large hearts with glitter, markers, t-shirt paints, or whatever else you can think of! Now glue to small pieces of pipe cleaner to the top of the small heart, and twist the ends to make them look like antennae. Glue the large hearts next to each other on the craft stick to make the wings. Glue the small heart on the top on the craft stick for the head.
Allow to dry, and then glue the magnet strip on the back of the craft stick.
